For as long as I can remember, liberal Democrats have been at war with the concept of a Constitutional Republic - you know, the one that the U.S. Constitution created.

But it wasn't always this way. In the months leading up to the Civil War, Democrats knew that by abolishing slavery, President Lincoln would open the door to other intrusions on state's rights. After the Civil War, the 13th and 14th Amendments to the Constitution had the unexpected consequence of trashing the 10th amendment.

Was it worth it? That's an argument for another time. But suffice it to say that the Civil War was the painful sacrifice necessary to abolish a wicked world view that allowed Americans to enslave others. Ironically, it may have been the watershed event that will someday enslave us all to a tyrannical government.

By the 1950s and 1960's there seemed to be a transition in how we viewed our nation. We began to refer to our Constitutional Republic as a "Democracy". I don't know exactly how it happened, but this presidential campaign is beginning to shed some light on what might have really been going on these past decades.

In the 1960s there arose a movement among the best and brightest among American university students and recent graduates. They were enamored with the way their professors spoke of Socialism and Marxism - how wonderful it would be if the world would simply see the light. They believed that the only reason Communism wasn't working in the Soviet Union was because of the United States' aggression against the important advances being made in North Korea and Cuba. They reasoned that Communism, as a Utopian solution, would only work if the entire world embraced it.

They must have reasoned that the Democrat Party was the best vehicle to advance their beliefs because democracy, by definition, is 'majority rules' - all these ambitious young communists needed was to attain a majority in order to bring down the mighty United States. At the 1968 Democrat Convention in Chicago, they made their stand.

And now these same young communists are our representatives in city government, statehouses, and the highest positions of power in the nation. And their policies over the past three decades have created the circumstances that will fool us into allowing them to fully take over the United States. Just a few things to consider:

  • Groups of powerful, well funded (often by our tax dollars), attorneys and judges make a mockery of our justice system by filing ridiculous lawsuits for the sole purpose of eroding our confidence in the Constitution.
  • Local and national organizations, who also get our tax dollars, exist as fronts for pressuring and intimidating Americans to act and vote in ways that are detrimental to their own best interests.
  • Legislators at every level have pushed through laws that chip away at our sense of security and common sense.
  • Government education at all levels is a hotbed of Socialist, Marxist and Communist thought and indoctrination.
  • Our sources of news and information have been beating the drum of Socialism ever more blatantly by carefully deciding what is news and what isn't news, then reporting it with subtle biases. What was often unintentional in the 1960's and 1970's, is now polished and presented under the guise of objectivity.

These are just a few ways that the agenda is advanced, from one generation to the next, more bluntly each time. Ultimately, they want anarchy in the United States - so that they can all come to the rescue to 'save' an exaspirated and disillusioned society.

And those who want to preserve the most successful and free nation in the world's history come to this debate thinking they're playing a simple game of tic-tac-toe while these scheming Communists are playing a far more sophisticated game of chess.

Our 21st Century Democrats are still pro-slavery. Except now it's not just a few people they want to enslave - it's everyone. Communism is a form of national slavery. There is no free speech. There is no voting. Communist leaders choose your career, decide who is guilty and who is innocent, and keep you just above poverty so that you'll always know who is in charge.

Barack Obama, together with a Democrat majority in the Senate and House, will quickly take the next steps to advance this wicked plan. We've long lost our Constitutional Republic, and it would take decades to restore it. What we must do now is come to the debate as world-champion chess players, ready to defeat Communism by knowing our enemy, studying their moves, and frustrating their every effort.

Supporters of our Constitutional Republic don't have a candidate in this presidential race, but we can hold the line until we've become educated and organized by voting for those who we can be sure will not give in to the Communist - or even Socialist - Democrats.
